Dr Rajesh Dhir took over as IMA president of Chandigarh

The new executive has taken over the Indian Medical Association(IMA) , Chandigarh Chapter, Chandigarh today in the impressive ceremony held in the auditorium of IMA , Sector 35, Chandigarh. Wherein Dr Rajesh Dhir who is renowned ENT Specialist of GMSH 16, Chandigarh chosen as IMA President of Chandigarh Chapter. Dr Dhir is known for his honesty and firm decisions. Dr Dhir also have been secretary for IMA two years and have given his services as President of North West Zone Association of AOI-OTORHINOLARYNGOLOGY for the year 15-16. The new executive committee of IMA Chandigarh is as follows

Dr. Rajesh Dhir expressed, heartfelt gratitude to all the members of IMA Chandigarh for reposing faith in him for choosing him as President of IMA Chandigarh chapter for the session 2019-20.

He stressed upon the Indian Medical Association members to uphold the dignity of medical profession and to constantly work towards protecting the interests of doctors and the community at large.

He further assured to take the issue forward for forming Chandigarh Medical Council in Chandigarhon the pattern of Punjab / Haryana Medical Council for simplification of registration and other related issues of the doctors.

He assured that the preference is to be given to the weaker section of the societyespecially  residing in urban slums/ coloniesto hold health camps for providing the benefits under National Health Programs to the beneficiaries thereby supporting the Chandigarh Administration to raise the status of health on national parameters in Chandigarh.
