  1. It is said if you attempt bring a revolution, criticism not far behind. And this is what Mahavir Singh Phogat had to face. When he started training his daughters, he had to face lot of criticism from his fellow villagers.

pic2Sakshi Tanwar plays the role of mother of Phogat sisters. Though before she was finalized, MallikaSherawat has auditioned for the role considering her Harayanvi background. After auditioning 70 actresses for the role, SakshiTanwar was zeroed upon.

pic3Major shooting of the movie in Ludhiana and villages of Punjab and Haryana – “Dangon” village being one of them which is ancestral village of lengendry actor Dharmendra who had last visited his village in 2013 and had rubbed soil of his village on his forehead.

pic5As Aamir Khan swelled into 95 kilo frame for the movie, he felt he was playing with his health and faced severe health risks which left his family and experts worried. “My breathing has changed …when I tie my laces, my stomach comes in between. After 20 seconds, I have to take a long breath.” had said the actor when he gained weight. His struggle to lose weight was immense as he counted intake of every calorie and every gram along with rigorous work out which put his weight back on track.
