Another Dream of Prime Minister, Chandigarh UT Administration is all set to bring new Building bye-laws to imply in system. As per these laws every building would have to have a Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant on the building. These bye-laws would be applied to all institutes from Educational, Hostels, Technical/Vocational Educational Institutes, Universities etc. UT Administration is going to imply it on Private Hospitals, Institutes as well.
As per the rules, No approval would be required from Chandigarh Municipal Corporation or Estate Office for putting up Solar plants in existing or new building. The Support Structure on which rooftop solar panels are installed shall be a temporary structure. UT Administration is mandating it for new buildings as well as for the existing buildings to install SPV plants within 2 years of notification of amended Building Bye-Laws except Housing Societies.
Have a look on the lowdown what shall be there. The 500 to 1000 sq yrds one has to install One kWp SPV Plant, 1000 to 3000 Sq yrds has to install Two kWp SPV Plant, More than 3000 sq yrds Three kWp SPV Plant has to be installed.
