A suspected case of Corona Virus has been reported in Chandigarh. The suspected patient has been admitted to PGI Chandigarh. The patient, who belongs to Mohali was in China for some time and had returned on 22 January.
He complained of chest pain, congestion and suffocation after which he was immediately admitted to PGI, where he has been kept in isolation ward. The blood samples of the suspected patient have been sent to National Institute of Virology, Pune.
It will take four to five days for the test results to confirm or deny whether he has coronavirus or not said Director PGI Dr Jagat Ram.
This is the ninth suspected case of Corona Virus in India. Till now 106 deaths have been reported due to the Corona Virus in China. More than 12,000 suspected cases have been hospitalised.
